How to Transfer Cheap Hosting Providers

There are several measures you’ll want to take in preparation for switching from one cheap hosting provider to another. To start with, do not under any circumstances cancel your service with your current cheap hosting provider until you’ve completed the switch to your new one and made sure that your site is live on the new cheap hosting company’s servers. If -- heaven forbid -- any problems arise in the transfer and you’ve already cancelled your current cheap hosting service, visitors to your site will find it “temporarily” down -- and that is a humongous webmastering no-no.

Here’s another don’t to start off the transferring process for you: Don’t do anything until you’ve backed up your entire website. This is probably the most important step in the process and one that is all too often embarrassingly overlooked. Backup every last page, every graphic, every hotlink. If you’ve never performed a backup of your site before, it’s easy to do -- just use your favorite FTP program (any will do) and download all the files from your current cheap hosting company.

Once you’ve got this critical step taken care of, it’s time to start hunting around for the cheap hosting provider you’ll switch to. Maybe you’ve already got one in mind. If not, there are numerous cheap hosting portals and review sites that exist solely to help you navigate the densely populated landscape of cheap hosting providers.

Decide ahead of time why you wish to switch cheap hosting providers -- is it cost? Bandwidth? System compatibility? Customer support? Features? Plugins? Scripts? -- once you’ve identified the exact areas where your current cheap hosting provider is lacking, you’ll have a much easier time examining the breadth of cheap hosting offers out there for the one that will serve you best.

Don’t rush into any decisions here. The last thing you want to do is hop from cheap hosting company to cheap hosting company -- if you did, then transferring will be about the only administrative duty occupying your time. Take the time now instead to find the best possible deal -- competition is fierce in this industry and you should have no trouble finding all the services and features you need at a heavily discounted price. Don’t settle either -- same reason. If one cheap hosting company doesn’t have absolutely everything you’re looking for, keep looking -- surely at least one does.

Once you’ve decided on a new cheap hosting provider for your site, you’ll need to take down a few pieces of information, namely:

-- Your domain name (such as “the-best-website-ever.com”)
-- The company name where your domain is registered -- If applicable, the username and password for your domain name registration
-- The name server info of your soon-to-be new cheap hosting provider (this will more than likely be emailed to you when you sign up with them -- if not, or if you lost it, you can find it in the Help documents on the new cheap hosting provider’s site).

Now that you’ve got all this done, you are finally fully prepared to transfer from your old cheap hosting company to the new one. To do so:

-- Login to the website where you currently have your domain name registered;
-- Locate a link for Domain Name Servers or DNS Information;
-- Change the information in these fields to reflect that of your new cheap hosting company;
-- Submit your changes.

And voila! You’ve done it! Easy, wasn’t it?
Once you’ve completed the above listed steps, it’s time to get your website live online. Simply upload the files you backed up at the beginning of this process to your new cheap hosting provider. Then take a visit to your site (preferably from several different browsers) just to ensure your website still appears as you want it to now that it’s hosting on your new cheap hosting provider’s servers. If you notice a problem in how your site appears, it’s time to delve back into the HTML code and find out what’s causing the discrepancy. It could very well be that a portion of the code simply didn’t transfer properly. If this is the case, all you need to do is reenter it as it should be, and that should take care of the problem.

Lastly, once you are certain that your website is live and looks like it should regardless of browser, it’s finally time to cancel your previous cheap hosting service.

How to Choose a Good Domain Name?

In the E-World your domain name is your first assessment of what your site
is about. It's not just your site name but it is the first criterion of your
success on the Internet and when it comes to a point of success you must
hold it tight. It can make your business stand out in the crowd, or just float
aimlessly in space. Well many of us think that it merely plays any role but it's
not the truth. Think if nobody remembers your site name or see no visual
look of what your site is about.

The temptation of a good domain name is so powerful; that's why some
companies even paid ridiculously high prices to get the name they want. The
domains Loans.com and Wines.com were both bought for $3 million each.
Telephone.com was acquired for $1.75 million, while Bingo.com sold for $1.1
million.

So the main question is, what points we should consider when we choose a
domain name. For better results, your domain name should be memorable and
easy to remember. Remember the following tips when creating a domain
name.

* The domain name should be short.
* The domain name should be simple.
* It should be suggestive of your business category.
* It should be unique.
* It should be easy to interpret and pronounce.
* It should be personalized.
* It should not be difficult to spell.
* It should not be difficult to remember.

Domain names can be registered through many different companies (known
as "registrars"). You can register for 1 to 10 years - prices can vary
anywhere from $10 to $20 per year. Most web hosting companies, will handle
the registration process for you, but make sure that you are properly listed
as the owner of the domain when it is registered.

If you have registered a domain name for a specific period, make sure you
renew it in time. You can be surprised at the number of cases, where site
owners have let a domain name slip by if they have not renewed in time.

How to use expired domains:

Did you know you can use expired domains to skyrocket your traffic? Let me
tell you about expired domains first. Thousands of webmasters invest time,
effort and money to promote their site and build up traffic. Many of them
then lose interest and move on, leaving their site active. That means that
although they still own the domain, they're not actively promoting it.

All the automatic marketing systems they've put in place are still bringing in
traffic. The site runs itself. Now, at some point the ownership of those
domains is going to expire. If you snap up those domains once they come
back onto the market, you've got a pre-built stream of customers. You can
either rebuild the site, or redirect the traffic to your domain. You could set
up an affiliate program get paid for users someone else paid for.

Its that easy.

Websites such as www.expiredtraffic.com or www.deleteddomains.com are
doing great job for expired domains. They actually do all the legwork and let
you reap all the rewards. Even you can back-order a specific domain name
also.

Do be careful when using other sites though. There are some swindlers out
there that will sell you subscriptions, provide you with outdated lists, take
your money and keep the good domains for themselves.

There are tons of options, and lots of easy ways to make lots of money with
very little effort. Opportunities like these are everywhere. All we need a
strong determination to succeed, and a good mentor.

I would have saved so much time!

Targeting Adsense Ads on Your Website

Offline, your business success is measured by location - in other words, your business must be located where people amass looking for what you have to sell.

Online, it's no different. People are looking for information. They "go" where the information is, and you as a webmaster own online real estate. Your website.

Your website content must be full of specific, focused information. If your desired visitors are "everyone", you will fail. You must decide what you are offering to whom, and create in-demand content for those people. Once you have the content, you will get listed highly by the search engines and the traffic will come.

Once on your website, your content must PRE-sell you, your business and, ultimately, whatever your visitors have the opportunity to purchase on your website.

Your perfectly constructed, targeted focused content is a perfect venue for Adsense ads. The Adsense code on your perfected pages will pull up targeted ads for your visitors every time.

But maybe your page has a variety of information on it and you want to emphasize a certain part of it to focus the Adsense ads. Google has something called "section targeting" that you can use under certain circumstances.

You need to be familiar enough with html to add certain code to your site source code, and the sections you want to target need to have a large percentage of your overall page content, enough that Google can understand what you are targeting. You add to the beginning of the section you want to target, and at the end of the section. Google will decide if this section will make you more money, so if it won't, you won't see any change in your ads. Also, it can take up to a couple weeks to see a change.

This technique is particularly useful in blogs, where Adsense ads have an uncanny knack for picking up on terms you don't want it to use.

It's very simple, but not "easy", to build that content rich website. We're not talking overnight success story here. But a long term income built on honest, solid principles that have stood the test of time is nothing to shrug off.

Build it and the Adsense ads will come.

Five Ways Bluetooth Benefits You

Bluetooth can be considered to be the most exclusive life-management tool that has geared up today's lifestyle. It is beyond all controversies that Bluetooth has such a wide range of mind-blowing properties that the civilization got a chance to find a new horizon with a new sun shine.

Freedom and peace are the major factors that people are badly in need of these days. Bluetooth, with a royal jest, walked in with a vision to provide us with absolute freedom by eliminating the untidy network of cords. The chaos created by the cluster of scattered cords connecting the computers to its varied range of peripherals, gives birth to highly adverse situation and unfavorable working environment. Bluetooth prevents us, not only, from these chaotic states but also gives freedom from the tension of sudden disconnections and keeps the people out of hazards.

To view from a distinctive platform, this wireless system allows an operator to take his keyboard and mice a few short feet away and sit on a comfortable sofa set and carry on his program efficiently. You can also purchase freedom with a Bluetooth enabled headset, which allows you to make and attend phone calls while you are engaged in other tasks. Bluetooth gives us the freedom to carry out almost a limitlessly diverse variety of jobs within our Personal Area Network (PAN). Mangers in today's MNCs do not have to rush to their offices leaving their outdoor appointments incomplete. They can freely communicate with the other managerial personals in the office within no time with the Bluetooth wireless system. Buy Bluetooth, get freedom free.

With the passage of days people are facing space problems in offices and homes. Today's sumptuous homes, banquet halls, offices, conference rooms and even schools and colleges are designed to give some contemporary serene looks without cables and cords snaking around hither and thither. The Bluetooth wireless technology quenches this thirst too. Adore your small office, homes and other places with fervor of exotic strokes. Just think of Bluetooth while decorating your office and conference hall wirelessly. This consumes unbelievably limited space, time and last but not least... money.

The general mass, while talking about the Bluetooth technology, most often restricts the point of discussion within the arena of wireless headsets, wireless mobile phones or wireless PC set. A very common concept regarding this technology is, "this is a cord-elimination technology" and nothing more. As a matter of fact, Bluetooth has an enormous application even beyond the world of mobile phones and headsets. This has a remarkably huge application in the field of automation system. The overall in-car electronic system is completely interlinked and integrated, ensuring the driver of the car to get every facility of a wide range of wirelessly operated communication system, even when he is driving his car at a speed of 100 km/hr. To the utter surprise, on the other level, Bluetooth has also helped the engineers to build up wireless bridge between the sky touching buildings... this is not a fairy tale.

Bluetooth wireless technology has shown a new light to the banking sector. The technology as developed a solid platform to support the banking system wirelessly and electronically integrated to the customers. By analyzing the customers' response and value the bank can come up with further new schemes and alter the schemes that the customers do not want. This empowers the nexus between the bank and the customers. This is a mode of customer care, which fuels up the growth of the bank's business time to time. This is beneficial for both the bank and the customers. For this, neither the customers need to queue and put forth their personal views one by one before their banker, nor the bank needs to install a gigantic and critical information device. The word "Bluetooth is just enough. In the same way the technology applies equally well to the other business sector as well.

There is no end of thirst and expectation. The world is going on expecting things from Bluetooth. Every new morning Bluetooth wakes us up with the tolling of a new bell. The degree of safety and security that the technology offers has fetched it a golden opportunity to serve a nation's defense as well, where a constant flow of most secret and precious information is as essential as oxygen. This is how a whole nation is benefited --- not a single user severally. Let's offload our headache to Bluetooth.

5 Steps To Generate Low Cost Website Traffic

Ever wonder how big sites get their traffic? Most of them are spending tons of money to drive the traffic to their sites, investing in many advertising campaigns and different forms of marketing schemes and gimmicks. This is all worthwhile because, well, they are what they are, high earning, big hitting websites.

You don’t have to do this if you don’t really have these types of resources. There are many ways to generate low cost website traffic without having to spend what you don’t have or can’t afford. Many people have banked on high cost methods and have ended up losing their shirt over it.

Here I present to you the Top five ways to generate low cost website traffic that could help your site a whole lot. Even if you only get a small percentage of successful visitors into client ratio it still works especially if you get a high number of website traffic.

Exchange Links

This is a sure and proven method. Rarely would you see a site where there is no link to another site. Many webmasters are willing to exchange links with one another so that they could produce more public awareness about their sites. You’ll soon see and feel the sudden upsurge of the traffic coming in to your site from other sites.

A major prerequisite in exchanging links with other sites is having the same niche or content as the other site. They should share a common subject so that there is continuity in the providing of service and information to what interests your target traffic.

Exchanging links also boosts your chances of getting a high ranking in search engine results. It is common knowledge that search engines ranks high sites that have inbound and outbound theme-related links. With a good ranking position in the search engines, you will generate more traffic in your website without the high costs.

Traffic Exchange

This is like exchanging links but on a different higher level. This may cost a bit more than exchanging or trading links but could be made cheaper because you get to earn credits. You can use those credits when viewing others traffic, while you earn credits when someone views yours.

Traffic exchange services are the viewing of another’s site or page. This is done vice versa where a site can use your sites contents and so can you to his or her site. You both benefit from each others efforts to generate traffic. The other sites visitors can go to your pages and know more about your site as well as theirs. Once again the public awareness of your sites existence is boosted.

Write and Submit Articles

There are many e-zines and online encyclopedias in the internet which provides free space for articles to be submitted. If you want to save costs, you can do the articles yourself. There are many freelance writers who are willing to write for you for a small fee, but to save money, it is wise to do those articles yourself.

Write articles that are themed along with the niche of your site. Write something that you have expertise on so that when they read it, they can feel your knowledge about the subject and will be eager to go to your site. Write articles that produce tips and guidelines to the subject or niche your site has.

Include a resource box at the end of your article that can link them to your site. Write a little about yourself and your site. If you provide a light, information-laden and interesting article, they will go to your site for more.

Make a Newsletter.

This may sound like hard work because of all the articles you may need to use to build a newsletter but on the contrary, this is not so. There are many writers and sites that are willing to provide free articles as long as they can get their name in on your newsletter. This will also provide free advertising for them as well.

As your newsletter gets pass around, you can widen your public awareness and build an opt-in list that can regularly visit your site.

Join Online Communities and Forums

This only requires your time and nothing else. You can share your knowledge and expertise with many online communities as well as your website. You can get free advertising when you go to forums that have the same subject or niche with your site.

Share your two cents and let them see how knowledgeable you are with the subject. As you build your reputation, you also build the reputation of your site, making it a reputable and honest business that could be frequented and trusted by many people.

Starting a business is an exciting venture but it is easy to get overwhelmed with all the myriad tasks needed for your initial launch. When you start your online business it is very important to have a plan. This will help you organize and focus on all the different things you will need to do.

Your business concept: This should be something you really enjoy doing. When you enjoy your business you will succeed and be able to put the work into it to make your business successful. Make a list of several topics that you are interested in and then check supply and demand. You should have a business concept that is high in demand and low in supply. You will check for demand on http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion just put in your keyword for your concept and it will tell you how many searches have been done for it in the previous month. Check for supply on http://google.com this will tell you how many websites are already into this particular business concept. When you have selected one with more searches (demand) and less supply (websites) you will have a niche or specialized market and can make this your business idea or concept

Define your market:

* Decide who needs and wants your type of products and services * Where do they go-publications, websites, discussion boards etc. for planning your marketing * What are they interested in-products and services

Choose your products: these will be in demand products and services for your chosen market. They can be affiliate programs or your own products and services

Set your goals. Write down your business goals:

· Where will your business be in 3 months? What will you need to do to achieve this?

· Your goals for your business in 6 months-what you need to do to get to this level

· Finally your projections for 1 year- how will you achieve this

Prioritize: Decide what you will need to do first and set your goals accordingly. Organize your time, make a daily schedule and weekly schedule.

How much time you can spare for your business: Decide on the amount of time you will be able to spend on your business. Realistically this should be about at least 3 hours per day.

Be prepared to discipline yourself: A business is hard work there is no such thing as getting rich quick with no work. It usually takes about 3 months to make any profit at all. You will need to be prepared to work hard and face ups and downs. However with persistence you will succeed.

Learning is power: educate yourself and become an expert in your field. Your 1st few months in business should be spent on learning as much as you can about your industry. After this you will find that even if you have surmounted the learning curve business is a continuous learning experience.

Conclusion: Your mindset: when you decide to start a business you need to think ahead and have an attitude for success. Business is a serious thing and to be successful you will need to prepare yourself to succeed. Think success and be persistent. There will be some tough times ahead but if you are really determined you will succeed. Many businesses fail because people give up before they have given themselves a chance to make it.

Blog Entrepreneur: Blogging Is the Perfect Internet Business

If someone were to tell you that you could create a global business, completely for free, with nothing more than the tools you already have, and the investment of your time, you'd question their sanity.

Nevertheless, it's true. If blogging appeals to you, you can create a viable Internet business within a few months: for free.

Blogging is a new development in online businesses. Essentially, it's instant publishing. Because entrepreneurial blogging is so new, you have a great opportunity to build your business before others copy what you're doing, so get started now, and start building your own online empire.

Let's look at five business models for your new Internet blogging business. These five models can be combined if you wish – there are no rules in blogging. You can change the business model of a blog at any time, to a model which generates more income.

Each of these models has the potential to earn you a six-figure income. They are:

• Affiliate blog(s)

• Web publisher blog(s)

• Sales blog(s)

• Service blog(s)

• Blog network(s)

Let's look at these models one by one.

Affiliate blog(s)

Many businesses develop affiliate programs, because they can recruit a sales force of thousands of people, with little expense. The appeal of affiliate programs for affiliate marketers is that you don't need a product or service – you can start selling others' products, on commission.

If you intend creating an affiliate blog, select the products that you'll be selling before you create the blog. This is because you want to be sure that there is a wide range of products that you can promote. There's nothing worse than developing a blog, and finding out that the well is dry: you've picked a niche where products rarely change, and in which the products are so standardized that there's nothing new to write or podcast about.

Web publisher blog(s)

In this model, your blog is the online equivalent of a magazine. Just as a magazine has features and advertising, so does your blog. In this business model, your content is vital, because you're counting on your content to attract advertisers.

If you choose to develop a Web publisher blog, you've got great models – the thousands of magazines which are published each year. Check out a couple of your favorite magazines. Usually a monthly magazine will have a theme for each monthly issue, with two or more stories devoted to this theme. The magazine publishes its editorial calendar a year in advance, so that advertisers can line up their advertising for a specific issue.

Sales blog(s)

In the sales model, you devote a blog to a single product, or range of products. When offline companies start blogs, their blogs are sales blogs – they're using their blogs to sell their products. If you have products that you want to sell, a sales blog is an excellent business model. You could sell a product that you've created – an ebook, a DVD, or art work – or products that you buy from others, and resell.

If you're already running a business, you could start an entrepreneurial blog to act as the marketing arm of the business.

On the other hand, if you don't have a business, look into having products created for you, or buy products which you can resell on your blog. Look in your local Yellow Pages for manufacturing companies: you may be able to find products that you could resell at a profit. Of course, there are many wholesaling companies online, but the benefit of dealing with a local supplier is that you can inspect the products that you're selling, to ensure quality. Your shipping costs will also be low, resulting in more profit for you.

Service blog(s)

While the sales blog sells products, the service blog sells services. If you have a service that you sell, then you could create a blog to generate customers for your services. Or, you could sell the services of other people, via a blog.

If you're selling a service, you know that it's hard to differentiate yourself from the thousands of others who are selling the same service. A blog is a way to do that. If you're a dance coach, for example, you've got plenty to write about. You'll attract lots of new business, and you can bring in additional income when you solicit your equipment suppliers to advertise on your blog.

Blog network(s)

Blog networks are groups of Web publisher blogs formed into a network. There can be half a dozen, or hundreds, depending on the ambitions and interests of the owner of the network. Blog networks usually derive their income from advertising.

If you want to develop a blog network, your aims will be to: develop a mission for the network, as well as a clear idea of where and how you'll add blogs to the network, and where and how the revenue stream will be built.

So, there you have it. Five different business models for your blog-based Internet business. Now all you need to build your new Internet business is enthusiasm, inspiration, and time.
